Over the years some interesting equine characters have passed through these gates all of which have provided us with a further education in life as well as horsemanship. It is our mission here to get the best out of any horse with the use of patience, intelligence and a calm but positive approach to all aspects of training and handling.

Whatever your abilities, ambitions or budget, I make the best use of my experience and contacts to find you the ideal horse. I have established an extensive network of equestrian contacts in order to benefit you. My contacts range from top trainers, riding schools, pony clubs and riding clubs to dealers and experts in Britain, Ireland, Germany and Australia.

I keep a small number of quality horses for sale on the yard, which you can see in the for sale section. In most cases these have been produced by me and I have a good knowledge of their background.

In my role as a competitor, trainer and journalist I am frequently being asked to source horses for people. Phone or email with details of your horse and I will do my best to find potential buyers. You can see examples of my clients and their requirements in the “Wanted section”.

  • Training/Schooling/Sales preparation. With first rate facilities and extensive experience we provide a service to suit requirements and budget of owner and horse.
  • Rehabilitation. We have particular expertise in caring for, rehabilitating and conditioning horses with injuries. Working alongside our excellent team of vets, physios and farriers or your own together with our own wealth of experience in rehabilitating injuries and bringing horses back into work, we can take the heartache and hassle out of the situation and give your horse the best possible chance of recovery.

“Constructive, good value, great fun and results!”

I have been fortunate enough to have received tuition from some of the best riders and trainers in the world, including Pippa Funnell, Lucinda Green, Tony Newbury, Roland Tong and Jenny Loriston Clarke. I offer the benefits and “secrets” of their wisdom to everyone I teaches and aim to make lessons constructive, good value and above all enjoyable. I apply enthusiasm and patience in my training of horse and rider whatever their age, ability or objective.

Group and private lessons in flatwork, jumping, gridwork and cross-country. Special rates for Pony Club and Riding Club.
